Peaty's Monarch Grips - Lockrings

The Peaty's Monarch Lockrings are made from 6061 aluminium, have a slim line 8mm wide clamp, and are secured with 3mm stainless steel bolts so you don’t need to worry about stripped or rusted heads. They have laser etched logos and an orientated Peaty’s logo on the grip end help you position the grip offset correctly while letting other riders know you’re ready to rule the trail Peaty’s style.

Tapered Core

The core of Peaty's Monarch grips have been custom-made to take a thinner 8mm clamp rather than the more usual 11mm clamp. This is only a 3mm difference, but every little bit helps to maximize the grippable area (130mm) and minimize the overall width of the grip body on your bars.

To enable the use of this thinner clamp, Peaty's also tapered the internal diameter of the core so the bar-end of the core is slightly smaller than the diameter of the bar. This means the grip bites onto the end of the bar and assists the clamp in preventing grip slip.

*Installation instruction:

1. Loosen the 3mm Allen key on the lockring.
2. Remove your Monarch grips from your bars and pull off the old lockrings.
3. Re-fit new clamps, ensuring the correct side is fitted to the correct grip using the L & R markings engraved above the Allen key.
4. When fitted correctly, the flat edge of the lockring should touch the rubber of the grip and the Allen key should face the rider.
5. Re-fit grips, following our grip application steps. Tighten the 3mm Allen key bolt on the lockring to 3Nm.
