Peaty's Speed Grease runs 2.5 times longer than Peaty's Bicycle Assembly Grease, whilst still providing long-lasting performance under extreme pressures. Perfect for use in race hubs, bottom brackets and other fast moving parts.
Peaty's Speed Grease is compatible with all oils of a mineral or synthetic nature except for PAG (polyalkylene glycol) based products. The number one requirement for a grease is that it lubricates really well. A good grease need melocules which flow over each other easily (less drag and coat the metal surface thoroughly and evenly, to prevent metal on metal contact (which results in parts wearing out).
The base oils have been formulated using synthetic esters with a marked polarity. Ester is a variant of synthetic oil. Esters are more expensive than straight synthetic oils because the ingredients all have to be collected from natural sources and then synthesised in much smaller quantities than regular synthetic oil.
The number one reason to use ester oil is how well it bonds to surfaces. Ester oil has an electrochemical bond because the ester moelcule is polar, sort of like a fridge magenet. It is attracted to metal and also because of this electrochemical charge, the grease naturally distribute itself evenly over a surface since each molecule will repel from each other, like trying to push two positive ends of a magnet together.

First time using this as i was using another plant based degreaser. Used it to remove all the lubricant on my ebike drive train to prep it was use of waxed chain.
Perform well as describe. I only need to use it 2x to get rid all existing lube n dirt.
Highly recommended
Got this to wax it and then replace it on my stock kmc chain on my ebike. Wax is the way for me than normal chain lubrication.
A bit hard to break the chain to my desire length but once i passed that stage, all smooth.
Performance was good and no more black stain on my socks or hands.

I love the service. We were well attended to in hanging the handlebar tape. I like how the mechanic advised re cables and had it re routed. Also advise on the chains that are on promotion!
The chain was still in good condition despite a 427km ride. I bought a second chain and highly recommend it
